Word of Mouth: If You Like It, Share It

Word of Mouth: If You Like It, Share It

Nobody hates cold calling as much as the person making the cold call. Word of mouth is the best kind of marketing. Your word is the backbone on which small businesses grow and the economy flourishes.

Word of Mouth Marketing:

Most of what we do at The Enrichery is based on word of mouth. When Jill tells all her friends about how we helped her daughter get into UC Berkeley and Rice, we are honored and ecstatic. We love our students and want them to get into all the colleges on their list, get the best internships possible, nail their standardized tests, and succeed in school (and, more importantly, life). That is why we do what we do.

But there’s no way we can really say this with any kind of authority. We’re biased. It would be a conflict of interest, and nobody would really believe us. So it’s up to our clients to share their experiences, both good and bad (hopefully, good).

What You Don’t Realize:

Until you’ve started your own business or invested a lot of your time into a company, you don’t realize how important it is to share your experiences. When I was a freshman in college, I fell madly in love with a certain gelato shop. I went there all the time. Unfortunately, the shop closed down a few months into my sophomore year.

Now, I look back and wonder what I could have done. What if I’d liked their social media, left a review, told a friend or two? It would have taken me two seconds to share it, but the thought never crossed my mind. It wasn’t that I didn’t love the place or didn’t want to help it succeed. It was that I didn’t know how much power I had as a consumer.

Consumers Shape Everything:

Everything we do at The Enrichery (and pretty much everything most successful companies do) revolves around consumer and client feedback. You wish you’d had more time for this or that? You loved getting to do this or that? Thanks for letting us know. Next time, you can bet we’ll have the problem fixed.

More than 75% of our meetings are composed of discussions about the future. How can we make it better next time? How can we better help our kids understand essay writing or test-taking? How can we better manage our time during class? How can we restructure? How can we improve? How can we better satisfy and better help our clients?

Get Involved:

If you like a certain product or found a certain service useful, tell your friends, share it on your page, leave a review. You have a voice. In fact, your voice is the most powerful weapon you will ever wield (even if you’re on the SWAT team). There’s a reason word of mouth is such a powerful tool. It’s because your opinion means a lot – to us at The Enrichery, and to everyone else as well. We invite you to share it, often.
