A little over a year ago, the day before opening our new Towne Lake location, I got in a serious bike accident. I knocked out my four front teeth, broke the bones in my face, broke a bone in my back, dislocated and broke a finger on my dominant hand, sliced nerves, and suffered from severe road rash all over my body. It was heart-wrenching, painful, and a complete shock to the system. I went from preparing to welcome families through our doors to staring at a wall, barely able to move, speak, or eat.
While I wouldn’t wish that kind of trauma on anyone, a year later, I can say with certainty that my accident gave me something invaluable: clarity. It reminded me that life is short, unpredictable, and far too precious to build anything that doesn’t feel energizing and authentic.
When I first started The Enrichery, envisioning a detailed ten-year plan wasn’t even on my radar. (I’m a little embarrassed to admit that, especially given that we teach goal-setting for a living…) But after my accident, mapping out a long-term vision that I felt truly aligned with suddenly felt not only possible—it felt urgent.
Our goals for the next ten years are bold and motivating. By 2035, we plan to grow to 25 locations. That means each year, we will be adding 1-2 new locations to increase our impact. It’s an ambitious goal, but one that excites and energizes me—I truly believe in a future where every young person is equipped to navigate challenges, take ownership of their growth, and thrive.
Currently, we proudly operate five successful locations, with our newest location in Katy opening just a few weeks ago. This newest addition is particularly meaningful because it is our first director-led location launch. This milestone represents a pivotal moment in our growth, marking a significant step away from completely founder-led expansion toward empowering our exceptional team to lead (another byproduct of a life-threatening accident!).
Our vision for the next decade extends beyond numbers and locations. I want to spend this time cultivating a talented and passionate team dedicated to enriching our students’ lives. I want every team member to feel immense pride in being part of The Enrichery, and for each student to feel inspired and empowered when they leave our office.
Navigating the path toward 2035 will undoubtedly present new challenges and opportunities, but every step forward helps clarify and strengthen our core values and mission. Thank you for supporting us and sharing in this exciting journey— we can’t wait for the next ten years of growth, purpose, and impact!
Here’s to 25 by 35,
