Get to Know Kiaya, Academic Coaching
Kiaya graduated from Cy-Falls High School in 2020 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education and Elementary Education with dual licensure at Western Governors University. She has a genuine passion for helping students discover new ideas and build confidence in the classroom. Her favorite part of working with students is watching their curiosity grow as they begin making meaningful connections with what they are learning. Kiaya believes every child has the ability to succeed when they feel encouraged and supported.
Where Kiaya Makes an Impact
Since January 2025, Kiaya has worked as a Kindergarten Paraprofessional in Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, supporting students of all ages despite her grade-level assignment. She teaches a variety of subjects, with particular strengths in English, the natural sciences, and history, and enjoys helping students develop strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. Known for her thoughtful preparation, Kiaya keeps personalized resources and ready-made practice materials on hand so students always have the support they need to keep progressing. Her classroom experience allows her to adapt lessons to meet students where they are while encouraging them to reach new goals.

Kiaya has a deep appreciation for English in all its forms, from literature and grammar to the art of effective communication. She is also fascinated by the natural sciences and history, especially the civilizations of the Old World, and loves learning something new whenever she gets the chance. Her curiosity extends beyond the classroom, making her a lifelong learner who enjoys sharing that enthusiasm with her students.
