Get to Know Anh, Academic Coach
Anh brings a strong background in engineering, computer science, and education to his role as an Academic Coach at our Memorial West location. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a Computer Science certification from the University of Texas at Austin, where He developed a deep appreciation for problem-solving and the real-world applications of mathematics. Anh especially enjoys helping students understand the foundations behind math and see how those concepts connect to everyday life, future careers, and the world around them. His goal is to help students build the confidence and skills they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
Where Anh Makes an Impact
Anh has experience working with students from elementary school through college in STEM-focused settings. He has tutored high school students in math and other STEM subjects, supported college students in engineering courses, and taught fourth and seventh grade math as part of his university coursework. At UT Austin, Anh also served as the Project and Engineering Lead for UT Aquaponics, where he helped create an inclusive environment for new engineering students and encouraged them to build confidence in the field. After college, he worked as a software engineer in finance and now serves as a Project Designer for an education nonprofit, developing creative math projects that bring learning beyond the classroom and into museums, libraries, and other public spaces. At The Enrichery, Anh works with middle and high school students in all levels of mathematics, as well as Physics 1, Physics 2, and AP Physics C: Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism.
Did You Know?
Outside of tutoring, Anh loves staying active and giving back to his community. On weekends, you might find him volunteering at a community garden, running, or taking a workout class. He’s also passionate about digital design and enjoys learning new skills in graphic design and video production. Anh is an avid traveler and loves planning trips, so if you ever need help putting together a detailed travel itinerary, he’s always ready to help!
Favorite Core Value
Anh’s favorite core value is Think Big because he naturally approaches life with a focus on the bigger picture. He enjoys setting long-term goals, thinking through the steps needed to achieve them, and creating systems that turn ambitious ideas into achievable plans. Anh hopes to help students develop that same perspective by encouraging them to look beyond their immediate challenges, recognize their long-term potential, and build confidence in the goals they’re working toward.
