Get to Know Catherine, Academic Coach

Catherine is currently a junior majoring in Healthcare Management and Leadership with a minor in Biology. She has a strong academic background in both STEM and business-related subjects and enjoys helping students feel more confident in challenging courses like Algebra, Biology, and Chemistry. Catherine especially loves working with middle and high school students, while also supporting younger learners in elementary subjects. Her favorite part of teaching is watching students grow more assured in their abilities and begin approaching academics with greater confidence and independence.

Where Catherine Makes an Impact

Catherine serves as the co-director of a nonprofit that provides year-round support for children impacted by a parent’s cancer, giving her valuable experience in leadership, mentorship, and community care. She has also created and led educational health lesson plans for elementary and middle school refugee and immigrant students, helping make learning engaging and accessible. During a summer in Vietnam, Catherine volunteered at a hospital where she shadowed professionals and gained hands-on exposure to wound care, surgery, and physical therapy rehabilitation. She is also preparing to begin research in cardiovascular disease. At The Enrichery, Catherine teaches Algebra, Biology, and Chemistry while bringing a thoughtful and encouraging approach to student support.

Did You Know?

Outside of academics, Catherine enjoys reading, going to the gym, and traveling whenever she gets the opportunity. She loves learning about new places and experiences and values staying active and balanced in her day-to-day life. Catherine’s curiosity and compassion shine through both inside and outside the classroom. Her calm and supportive personality helps students feel comfortable asking questions and taking on new challenges.

Catherine’s favorite core value is Win as One because she believes student success is built through teamwork, encouragement, and shared growth. She finds it rewarding to support students not only academically, but also personally as they gain confidence and maturity. To Catherine, learning is most meaningful when students feel supported by the people around them. She loves celebrating their accomplishments and helping them recognize their own potential.
