Get to Know Faisal,Academic Coach
Faisal brings a strong interest in mathematics, engineering, and problem-solving to his role as an Academic Coach. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Houston and hopes to continue his education by earning a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering after graduation. Faisal enjoys helping students work through challenging concepts and believes that patience, consistency, and effort can make a meaningful difference in a student’s academic journey.
Where Faisal Makes an Impact
Faisal has developed strong communication and problem-solving skills through his professional experience in customer service and retail. He previously worked as a Customer Service Representative at H-E-B and as a Lumber/Millworks Associate at Home Depot, where he learned how to communicate with people from a variety of backgrounds, solve problems, and approach responsibilities with attention to detail. His engineering studies have further strengthened his analytical and mathematical skills, which he brings into his work with students. Faisal tutors all elementary and middle school subjects, as well as a wide range of mathematics courses, including Algebra I, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Trigonometry.

Faisal speaks Arabic fluently and is a big fan of Nintendo games. He especially enjoys revisiting classic Pokémon games from time to time. When he’s not studying or tutoring, Faisal also enjoys spending time with his dog and finding opportunities to relax with his favorite games.

Faisal’s favorite core value is Roll Up Your Sleeves and Own It because he believes success ultimately comes down to the effort you are willing to put in. He knows that reaching a goal isn’t always easy, and that consistency and perseverance are essential when challenges arise. Faisal encourages his students to embrace difficult moments, keep putting in the work, and take ownership of their progress. For him, every challenge is an opportunity to grow stronger and get one step closer to success.
