Get to Know Jonaiyshia, Academic Coach
Jonaiyshia earned a degree in Political Science with concentrations in Biology and Humanities, giving her a well-rounded academic foundation across the sciences and liberal arts. She is passionate about helping students discover their strengths and believes every learner can succeed with the right support and encouragement. Her favorite part of working with students is watching their confidence grow as they overcome challenges and achieve goals they once thought were out of reach. Jonaiyshia also plans to continue her education by pursuing a master’s degree in anesthesia.
Where Jonaiyshia Makes an Impact
Jonaiyshia brings a unique blend of educational, leadership, and organizational experience to The Enrichery. She most recently served as an Enrichment Programs Assistant with the YMCA of Greater Houston, where she planned educational activities, trained instructors, and helped create a safe, engaging environment for children. Throughout college, she held several executive leadership positions with the Associated Students at the University of California San Diego, overseeing communications, personnel, professional development, and large-scale student initiatives, while also helping establish a leadership fellowship and co-founding a networking event for students and professionals. At The Enrichery, Jonaiyshia teaches all elementary and middle school subjects, high school natural sciences, English, and history, while also supporting students with test preparation and college admissions.
Did You Know?
Jonaiyshia grew up in Ohio and spent much of her childhood riding dirt bikes and four-wheelers. Although she was an only child for most of her life, her family recently welcomed twin siblings, making this an exciting new chapter for her. She enjoys embracing new experiences and values opportunities to connect with people from all walks of life. Her adventurous spirit and outgoing personality help her build meaningful relationships with the students she coaches.
