Get to Know Meagan, Academic Coach

Meagan combines her love for science, mathematics, and education to help students grow both academically and personally at our The Woodlands location. She earned a Master of Health Science and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and she’s passionate about making challenging subjects feel approachable. Her favorite part of working with students is watching their confidence grow as they overcome obstacles and realize they’re capable of more than they imagined. She believes every student learns differently and enjoys finding the approach that helps each one succeed.

Where Meagan Makes an Impact

Meagan brings both academic and research experience to every tutoring session. As a Math Tutor at Xavier University’s Math Resource Center, she provided one-on-one and small-group instruction in college algebra, pre-calculus, and calculus, helping students strengthen their problem-solving skills and build confidence in math. She also contributed to research projects at the University of Texas Health Center and Xavier University of Louisiana, where she worked with public health data and DNA mismatch repair studies. Today, Meagan tutors Biology, Chemistry, Algebra II, Geometry, Calculus, Math, and ELA, and enjoys supporting students of all ages and grade levels. Her goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, thinking critically, and celebrating their progress.

Did You Know?

When she’s not helping students achieve their goals, Meagan enjoys spending time in the kitchen trying new baking and cooking recipes. She also loves getting lost in a good book and cheering on her favorite sports teams. Whether she’s experimenting with a new recipe or relaxing with a game, she enjoys activities that keep her curious, creative, and connected with family and friends.

Favorite Core Value

Meagan’s favorite core value is Be Intentional because she believes that success begins with purpose. Being intentional means putting thought and care into every action, understanding the “why” behind what you do, and striving to make each effort meaningful. She encourages her students to approach learning with the same mindset, knowing that consistent, purposeful actions can lead to lasting growth both inside and outside the classroom.
