Salwa is a Teacher and Learning major at the University of Houston, pursuing a career as an elementary school teacher. She enjoys helping students build confidence and develop strong academic habits. Salwa is especially motivated by supporting students as they strengthen executive functioning skills for success in and out of the classroom.
Salwa works as an Academic Coach, helping students improve executive functioning, academic skills, and confidence. She teaches all elementary and middle school subjects, including Algebra 1 and Algebra 2. She is also pursuing her teaching certification as part of her degree.
Salwa has a cat and enjoys playing video games and shopping online. She loves listening to music, especially Red Hot Chili Peppers, Depeche Mode, and Avril Lavigne. Her favorite color is pink.
Salwa’s favorite core value is Create Raving Fans. She believes that positive, encouraging relationships motivate students and inspire an enthusiasm for learning.
