Get to Know Zane, Academic Coaching
Zane is currently studying Engineering at Houston City College with plans to specialize in Electrical Engineering. A graduate of Cinco Ranch High School, he challenged himself through a rigorous schedule of Advanced Placement courses while staying actively involved in service and leadership organizations. He enjoys helping students tackle difficult concepts and showing them that even the most intimidating subjects become manageable with the right approach. Whether working through a challenging math problem or preparing for the next academic milestone, Zane strives to help students build both confidence and independence.
Where Zane Makes an Impact
As a Shift Manager at Sonic Drive-In, Zane has developed strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills while training employees, maintaining operations, and ensuring excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. His ability to stay organized under pressure and mentor others translates naturally into the academic setting. Zane specializes in Calculus, PreCalculus, Physics, Test Prep, and College Admissions, helping students strengthen their understanding while preparing for future success. His analytical mindset and patient teaching style allow him to break complex topics into clear, approachable steps.
Did You Know?
Zane completed more than 80 hours of community service through the Cougars Achieving Through Service (CATS) program during high school. He is also conversational in Spanish, a skill he has continued developing through both years of study and real-world experience in customer service. Outside of academics, he enjoys solving problems, learning new skills, and taking on challenges that push him to grow.

Zane’s favorite core value is Roll Up Your Sleeves (and Own It) because he believes meaningful growth comes from embracing challenges and putting in the effort to overcome them.
