Get to Know Amanda, Academic Coach

Amanda earned her Bachelor of Arts in Intelligence and Security Studies from The Citadel and received the Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish. She has a diverse academic background spanning STEM, humanities, and language studies, which allows her to connect with students across many subjects. Amanda enjoys helping students overcome academic challenges and develop confidence in their abilities. Her favorite part of working with students is creating a supportive environment where curiosity and growth can thrive.

Where Amanda Makes an Impact

Amanda has experience tutoring students in a variety of settings, including serving as a conversational English tutor for Ukrainian students through EnGin. As a peer tutor at The Citadel, she supported students in Calculus, Physics, History, English, and Spanish by helping them strengthen their understanding of course material and complete assignments. She is First Aid and CPR certified and brings patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills to every session. Amanda teaches all elementary and middle school subjects, as well as high school Physics, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Precalculus, AP Calculus AB and BC, World History, World Geography, U.S. History, AP Literature, and Spanish.

Amanda is a huge fan of Star Wars, Warhammer, The Chronicles of Narnia, and The Lord of the Rings. Outside of academics, she loves reading, cycling, going to the gym, and playing video games. One of her most unique experiences is having been inside a submarine. Her wide range of interests reflects her curiosity and adventurous spirit.
