Background

Dr. West holds a Doctorate in Education Policy and Leadership from Southern Methodist University and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University. She also earned a Bachelor’s in Mass Communications and Business from Texas Woman’s University. Her favorite part about working with students is watching the "aha moment" come to life during the learning process. She finds great joy in helping her students turn their natural curiosity into lifelong passions.

Where Brandy Makes an Impact

Dr. West brings over 20 years of experience across K–12 teaching, campus and district leadership, university instruction at Sam Houston State University and Southern Methodist University, and nonprofit leadership. She specializes in designing comprehensive, data-informed support systems that strengthen both academic achievement and social-emotional growth. At The Enrichery in The Woodlands, she focuses on creating inclusive environments where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive. Dr. West holds Texas certifications as a Principal EC–12, Classroom Teacher Generalist 4–8, Science 4–8, and Speech Communications 8–12. She is also a Certified TIER Trainer and Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System Certified Appraiser, with additional training in the Effective Schools Framework, Instructional Leadership Development, and Nonprofit Management.

As a talented triple threat in singing, dancing, and acting, Brandy would likely be a professional actor if she had not chosen a career in education. She finds inspiration in all things creative and artistic in her personal time. One major item remaining on her bucket list is the opportunity to perform on Broadway. This passion for the arts informs her vibrant and creative approach to leadership.

Be Intentional is Dr. West’s favorite core value because she believes that student success never happens by accident. Her extensive experience has taught her that true achievement requires the purposeful design of data-driven systems. For her, being intentional means moving beyond a one-size-fits-all approach to instruction. She ensures that every strategy used is a deliberate step toward empowering her students to reach their full potential.
