Get to Know Makya, Office Manager at Bellaire

Makya earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas, with foundations in Natural Sciences and Arts and Humanities and a concentration in Global Studies focused on Public Health. She joined The Enrichery as an Academic Coach and Test Prep Expert before stepping into the role of Bellaire Office Manager in August 2026. Makya enjoys creating a welcoming environment where students and families feel supported from the moment they walk through the door. Her favorite part of her role is building meaningful relationships while helping students feel confident and excited about their academic journey.

Where Makya Makes an Impact

Before joining The Enrichery, Makya gained experience as a Children’s Museum Associate at the Austin Thinkery, an after-school tutor for Kids-U in Dallas, a private science and math tutor, and an Undergraduate Physics Teaching Assistant at the University of Texas at Dallas. She also demonstrated a strong commitment to service and leadership as a founding executive member of Period Project at the University of Texas at Dallas, a Student Senator, and a Community Advocate with FIEL Houston. As Bellaire Office Manager, Makya combines her educational background, tutoring experience, and passion for supporting others to help ensure families receive exceptional care while coaches have the resources they need to succeed.

Did You Know?

Makya loves expressing her creativity through knitting, crocheting, making zines, and experimenting with new baking recipes. She especially enjoys learning about unique topics, and one of her favorite college courses was Women in Medieval History because it sparked her fascination with niche histories. When she’s not crafting or baking, you’ll often find her listening to audiobooks or podcasts while learning something new. Her curiosity and love of lifelong learning influence the welcoming and encouraging energy she brings to the Bellaire office.

Makya’s favorite core value is Think Big because she believes curiosity and ambition are the foundation of meaningful growth. She encourages students to look beyond immediate challenges and recognize the possibilities that come with perseverance and confidence. For Makya, thinking big means inspiring others to dream boldly while providing the support they need to turn those goals into reality. She brings that same mindset to her work every day, helping students, families, and coaches grow together.
