Each summer, The Enrichery offers week-long College Admissions Workshops where students work alongside expert admissions consultants to complete their college application materials from start to finish. Applying to college can feel overwhelming for both students and parents, but our structured, supportive process helps students stay focused, make meaningful progress, and approach their applications with confidence.
We’ve compiled answers to some of the most common questions we receive about our College Admissions Workshop. Read through the FAQs below to learn how the workshop works and whether it may be the right fit for your student.
Q: What happens during The Enrichery’s week-long workshop?
A: The workshop is an intensive, focused week over the summer where students complete all their written college application materials from start to finish. That means their personal statement, supplemental essays, and resume are all done, polished, and ready to submit by the end of the workshop. It’s structured, supportive, and surprisingly energizing when students realize how much they can accomplish in just a few days. Because our workshops typically have five students and two admissions consultants, they are often fun and social, which makes a daunting task like writing several essays more enjoyable and interactive.
Q: My student hasn’t even started thinking about their college list. Is the workshop the right first step?
A: Actually, the workshop isn’t the first step! Before students start their workshop, they meet with one of The Enrichery’s location directors for consultation sessions and build a well-rounded college list. We make sure every student has a strong mix of reach, target, and likely schools that genuinely fit their preferences and consider things like campus setting, school size, tuition costs, and intended major. By the time their workshop week arrives, students know exactly where they’re applying (and why!), which lets them focus 100% on their writing.
Q: Who reviews the essays and materials? Is it just other students or actual professionals?
A: Professional editors review and polish every piece of writing, ensuring all application materials are sharp, authentic, and as compelling as possible.
Q: My student struggles with procrastination. Will they finish everything in just one week?
A: That’s exactly who the workshop was designed for! The structured environment removes all the usual distractions. Because they have access to consultants and are surrounded by peers who are working toward the same goal, it’s easier to remain focused on the goal at hand. Most families tell us the workshop had the greatest impact on getting their child’s application submitted.
Q: What’s the difference between the workshop and your one-on-one admissions service?
A: The workshop takes place in one space, all in ONE week. It’s like a group marathon preparation session, and each student is done with all the pieces they need to submit to the schools on their college list at the end of the workshop. The Enrichery’s one-on-one admissions services, in contrast, are self-paced, monthly check-ins where a student works with a consultant to gather and prep their résumé, essays, and other application materials.
Q: Is the admissions workshop only for students who know what they want to study at college?
A: Not at all. The pre-workshop consultation process helps students get clarity on which schools they’re interested in, which includes their prospective majors at each university. The Enrichery also offers the Birkman Assessment as an additional service, which can help you get a little extra career direction before selecting a major.
The Enrichery’s 2026 College Admissions Workshops started this week, but there is still time to enroll your student. There are workshop options throughout June and July, and our final workshop begins on August 3, but spots are filling up quickly. Contact us today to learn more and reserve your student’s spot.
